Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

What is the Purity Event?It is a two-day Symposium and Ball which aims to define how to be pure in today’s modern world that will be celebrated with a night of music and serenade.

Will parents attend?Yes! In fact, even parents with children in the younger grades can join the events. There is also a night of vow and ceremony that the parent-child will participate in.

Can outsiders be invited?Ideally this event is exclusive for LAI community and its alumni.

What is different in this event?This is a once in a lifetime event covering all Gr 7-12 grade levels, in a well-prepared night of music & serenade and carefully crafted topics and speakers that can be chosen from by the students.

What is the attire?Modest cocktail attire. No mini skirt, haltered, tank tops, or any revealing clothes.

Is this mandated by the school?No, but it is highly encouraged.. and why would you miss it?

When is the early bird rate going to end?The extremely discounted rate (About half the value of the full event) is due to end on Saturday, April 6. Regular rate is applied on April 7-13.

How to respond and build open communication lines

  • understanding how to open the lines of communication, while establishing boundaries

  • learn how to respond to difficult questions involving purity, intimacy, abuse

  • early relationships, addiction to social media, gaming, etc.


(Grades 7-12 female students only)

Workshop: Embracing God's Design for Femininity (Women only workshop)

  • How to apply Biblical principles in real life situations

  • Practical application on how to act not only as women, but more importantly as daughters of Christ --reflecting Him in the way we speak, dress, respond, etc.


(Grades 7-12 Male Students only)

Workshop: Manhood Redefined: God's Blueprint for Masculinity (Men only workshop)

  • Differentiating Biblical and the world's definition of masculinity

  • Addressing toxic masculinity stereotypes of aggression, common notions on what the world perceives to be "manly"

  • Define God's design for manhood

  • Discuss the importance of building a firm foundation on what a man should be and what they are called to do


(Open to All Students)

Workshop: Developing Conviction in a World that Normalizes Evil

  • Biblical truths on Holiness

  • Understanding the importance of living out Holiness in our lives

  • Equipping students with biblical knowledge and foundations to defeat temptation

  • How to deal with temptations and sins that young people usually succumb to, not only sexually but including excessive partying, vices, etc.

  • Know the red flags and learn how to protect one's self from being abused physically, verbally and emotionally

  • How to heal, live free from bondage and move on from an abusive experience


(Ideally for Grades 10-12)

Workshop: Cultivating God-centered Relationships and Setting Boundaries

  • Tackling friendship, dating, and marriage

  • God's design for marriages

  • Biblical views on getting into relationships in high school and college

  • Dating at such a young age is not technically sinful but not recommended as well. Why is that?

  • How to deal with developed feelings for someone at a young age

  • Situationships, Textationships, talking stage, etc.

  • Focusing on honing friendships instead of exclusive relationships

  • How to strengthen and build platonic Christ-centered bonds with friends


Workshop: God-confidence: Developing your identity in Christ

  • *Focused on LGBTQ+ topics

  • How to handle if you are having these tendencies

  • Practical approach to remind students on how to anchor their identity in Christ

  • What the Bible says about dealing with identity issues (gender identity, basing your identity and other people's identity on status, money, etc.)

  • How can students be secured and affirmed with God's love for them


Workshop: Navigating Social Media: Standing up for what's right

Objectives

  • Learning how to practically stand up against the trend where people today attempt to normalize sexual sins (immorality, "hook-up culture", etc.)

  • Understanding why these worldly norms are wrong by getting into the root cause and identifying how Satan uses these ideologies to destroy lives

  • Learning how to respond to friends and family members who have differing views

  • Dealing with "cancel culture" and cyber bullying when you choose to stand up for what is right. Note to clearly explain, feedback from students -- that this is often part of topic discussions but it is not really discussed in depth

  • Inspiring students to stand up for what is right -- and why they should in the first place

  • Learning how to model Jesus in everything we do in today's sinful world
